Ya, because if they don't include books, how could we possibly max out our titles?

/sarcasm off

Seriously, do we need books to be doubled? You could max out any one of the titles by turning in 3 fricken books!

1 nm hero's handbook = 20,000 rep points (40,000 doubled)
2 hm hero's handbooks = 30,000 rep points each (60,000 each doubled) = 120,000 rep points.

So because there are people to lazy to get it by vq an area or just playing through the game, anet should double the books so that every single person in the game has max gwen titles? Just be happy that they're still doing things for us.

It is still 12 books per character and with 8 characters is 96 books.

Because if grinding on 1 character isn't enough for you, you grind out 8 characters.

It looks like along with the weekend double rep they may have made some enemy buffing/mob adjustments.

I have been working on Vanguard for a while I am at 9 working on 10 I have vanquished all three areas quite a few times in HM with H&H and almost never wipe. In fact I don't even carry a res on my skill bar because it has not been necessary. However tonight I wiped 7different times clearing one area.

I have also seen some strange and over powered mobs like 8 size mobs with two prophets and a mender (takes at least 5 minutes to kill one of those mobs), 8 sized mobs of all flameshield, dominators, hexreapers etc...

I have also noticed that the siege now takes 10e to fire even though it says only 5e.

I can tell you right now that as I was obtaining Legendary Master of the North back in July and August, I faced same type/size of mobs that you just described. So when exactly was the last time you vanq'ed there?

See that's my biggest issue.
I feel that all these titles are pretty much flawed by default.
The max tiers are set too high OR there is not enough content - however you want to call it.
One should have to play though the game and complete EVERYTHING - all quests, missions, vanquishes, dungeons, ... in NM AND then everything that can be repeated in HM also and that alone should fill up the titles. (That also includes the Factions and C3 grind titles!)
The game should reward you for actually PLAYING the game rather then force you into farming.
Sure, one should have the option of farming if they are too lazy or not good enough to complete everything to be able to max out the titles - but to make that the ONLY way to max out a title is just bad.

No, I am just pointing out that even if they double the rewards from books it would still be a huge grind for one character and a completly idiotic grind to get all 4 titles to max for eight characters.

I am only interested in the armor, but getting to rank 5 in up to three titles for 3 characters is not much fun too.

I think what you say here is true - but you probably do not agree with my solution.

I think the problem is that books are the best way to gain that rep - so much better I have to ask why bother with double rep weekend? For myself I save up HM completions of quests and any dungeon completions for these weekends. Since this is the second one we have had I expect to spend some time this weekend on dungeons as that is the main area that I have yet to complete (both NM and HM). However, had I not limited title hunting to a single character then I would not have been in this position - with the changes that will eventually happen to the HOM this is OK.

However, as far as gameplay goes they have the highest rewards - by far even during during double rep weekends - be a single player only task. Yes, it is true it doesn't matter what few missions we do for the book, however it is clear that no matter how good/quick a human group is that grinding the missions out with H/H is the most efficient (how many groups stay together for rotating around those few specific missions people do?).

Vanquishing should be the most efficient rep/hour out there even in non-double points weekends. That is a task that is MUCH better done with a decent human group and takes enough time to encourage grouping. As is they encourage AI groups and AI play on the one hand and human players on the other. Restructuring rewards with a full human team would go SIGNIFICANTLY more towards having them popular than the reward structure used today. I'm nearly a full H/H player and most likely would be no matter what, but as of now I find 99.999% of the tasks more efficient that way anyway.

Even with H/H Vanquishing *should* be a higher reward than playing the same three or four missions over and over again and the double point weekend ought to really push it.

I would suggest that things that are mostly human groups and/or are harder (say vanquishing areas) are the most rewarding with respect to faction. I think books are fairly reasonable given the work involved with other titles so buff reputation gain. Further I would also support not having books double during weekends - have what is mostly a group exercise be the most rewarding by far. Not to mention that vanquishing areas tend to be more varied and (in the long run) more fun than doing the same missions 50 times over again.

Ah well, we all have our own ideas of what would make GW great. Reality is that I have a large number of hours in game so I obviously like it as is. I further find that my dollar per hour played is *extremely* good too. But I have to complain where I think we could be better.

Reputation titles are not going to be account wide.

I was discussing http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Arena...dates/20080624 with regards to gaining the reputation titles. That is the upcoming change to the HOM where it is account wide instead of character specific. And, as she said, discussing the progression on those two titles being account wide (just like the Kurzik/Luxon allegiance tract is) is a separate issue from the HOM changes.

I don't really care at this point if wisdom and treasure hunter are made account wide, I've only had one character work on them anyway and as long as one gets it then the account does in the HOM. It may add 20 or 30 points to it assuming they add all of the other characters points to my main title hunters count.

I'm not sure where you guys are vanquishing, but I went from R6 Vanguard to R10 this weekend only doing vanquishes with H/H and never once saw any groups that size.

Either your both exaggerating, or your fighting in some unnecessarily hard places that I managed to avoid all weekend

Maybe you are right and I only noticed it now because I was having such a tough time that VQ run.

That Devourer siege is broke it will take 10e to fire when it says only 5e unless you are down to your last 5e then it will fire for that 5e.
